BIBLE MATH QUESTION: SUPPER AT LO DEBAR

A new tunic for the supper costs 670 drachmas (D670). At the store, James traded in his old pair of sandals for D52 which was used as a down-payment together with D63. He completed the purchase of the tunic by paying 8 weekly payments of D89. How much is saved by paying cash for the tunic?

   VOLUNTEERISM

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men." - Colossians 3:23

"FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE" - MATTHEW 10:8

You don't necessarily have to be rich in order to be successful, and to positively impact the lives of others. True success is not so much about the accumulation of material wealth, status and/or titles. It really centres on what we do with what we have to improve, not only our lives, but the lives of others. True success involves caring, giving and sharing, and at times, it may require us to volunteer our time, talent and resources to assist others. In teaching this principle to His disciples, Jesus said in Matthew 10: 7- 8:

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." -

The above scripture illustrates that we can still use our talents to help others even though we may not have money at that time to give. We have all received gifts and talents from God and we can use them to do good. This site is an example of what can happen when we volunteer our time, talents and  resources to assist others.  Likewise, after registering for our free Math courses, students are encouraged to volunteer their time, and to join our WhatsApp Peer Tutorial groups so that they can help each other succeed in Math.

If you have not done so already, why not start with this simple act of kindness and share this site with others? Also, remember The Math Ministry in your time of prayer. Thank you and may God bless you and your family!
